Thursday September 5th saw the opening of Hattember with the Hattember Gala held which included the announcement of winners in the 2019 The Hattember Competition which attracted milliners from Australia and across the world.
The competition involved around 50 milliners who were given 3 weeks to create 2 hats for the categories of Wearable Art & Race Day Wear.
The quality of competition entrants and award ceremony were an excellent recognition of the talent in the millinery industry. The artistry and craftsmanship of these talented individuals were inspiring!
The night saw guest judge and internationally renowned, Maor Zabar from Israel display some of his amazing works.
We applaud Walker Wayland NSW’s client Catherine Kelly and her team at Hatters Millinery Supplies and Embellish Atelier for their excellent work in hosting this event.
Maor and Cath shall be hosting classes to share the various skills which they have refined over their professional experiences over the coming weeks.
