Walker Wayland NSW helps Suncorp Bank Achieve Carbon Neutral Status – Australia’s First Carbon Neutral Bank for both its operations and transaction services
Congratulations to Suncorp Bank for achieving carbon neutral status!
Walker Wayland NSW was engaged to provide an independent assurance verification of Suncorp Bank’s greenhouse gas emissions for inclusion in the Product Disclosure Summary as required by the Government’s Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard.
Our engagement involved working closely with the Bank’s ESG team and its external carbon and energy management consultant – Pangolin Associates.
Suncorp Bank has become Australia’s first financial institution to be certified as carbon neutral for both its operations and transaction services.
Our firm, partners and people are passionate about sustainability and we value working with other like-minded organisations such as Suncorp and Pangolin. Walker Wayland NSW achieved carbon neutral status in October 2020 and looks forward to helping other organisations achieve this over the years to come as the Australia Government continues to pursue emission reduction targets.
