In August 2015, Walker Wayland is getting gutsy by taking part in the iconic City2Surf.
Runners and walkers will take on 14kms to raise much needed funds to fight GI cancers and to support the GI Cancer Institute.
GI cancers include those of the oesophagus, gall bladder, liver, pancreas, stomach and bowel and are the most common forms of cancer in Australia, affecting 24,600 Australians each year. Every day, 33 Australians die from these deadly cancers-that’s one every 45 minutes.
The GI Cancer Institute saves lives by funding clinical trials to improve how we treat people living with these cancers in Australia.
Please help Walker Wayland to change the statistics and give people living with GI cancers hope. Support your colleagues’ fundraising efforts at city2surf2015.everydayhero.com/au/walker-wayland-runners
To join the running team, contact Cameron Stone or Richard Woods. All runners are eligible for free personal training through team gutsy!
