It’s almost that time of the year again – time to dust off your running shoes because Sydney is hosting the annual City 2 Surf fun run on Sunday August 12th, 2018!
Walker Wayland NSW is again entering an enthusiastic team of runners/joggers/walkers to participate and this year we have chosen The Black Dog Institute as our charity to support.
Mental health issues are extremely prevalent in Australia and it’s likely that either you or someone you know – a family member, a friend, a co-worker, has been affected by mental illness. The Black Dog Institute is a research institute conducting studies into identifying, preventing and treating mental illness. They are also working to reduce the stigma associated with mental health with the aim of
“creating a world where mental illness is treated with the same level of concern, immediacy and seriousness as physical illness”
“creating a world where mental illness is treated with the same level of concern, immediacy and seriousness as physical illness”
They primarily focus on research into depression, bipolar, PTSD, anxiety and work place mental health which is why WWNSW believe this is an excellent charity to put our support behind!
So if you would like to support our Walker Wayland Team and The Black Dog Institute – please donate generously at our City 2 Surf Donation Page to help us reach our goal!
