Super Guarantee Charge from 1 July 2013
 

Employers be aware that effective 1 July 2013 the super guarantee percentage will increase to 9.25%, and gradually increase each subsequent year until it reaches 12% in July 2019 (see table below).

Employers will need to review their employment contracts to determine if the employee’s salary is defined as a “total package”, as there is no obligation for the employer to increase the total amount it pays to employees.
