In Australia, it’s estimated that 45 per cent of people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. In any one year, around 1 million Australian adults have depression, and over 2 million have anxiety”
Anxiety affects 1 in 4 Australians and depression affects nearly 1 in 2. In Australia, suicide is the leading cause of death for males and females aged between 15 and 44. In a typical year, around 2,500 people in Australia die by suicide. That’s more than seven people every day.
Walker Wayland prides itself on participation and generosity. We as a firm would love to make a difference to those affected by depression and anxiety. By raising awareness and funds through our donation website we aim to assist those with this debilitating illness in finding the help they need. We hope to see you at the race.
